A fire that ravaged the attic of a home over the weekend has forced residents to move.
Around 6 pm on Sunday evening, Cloquet Area Fire District was called to 729 Larch Street.
Officials claim that when they arrived, the entire attic had been engulfed in smoke and there were flames coming out of the roof.
The crews used water to put out the fire on the outside and entered the house completely.
The majority of damage was contained to the roof area after firefighters spent approximately three hours working.
The damage to the first-floor was mostly caused by smoke and efforts to suppress fires.
There was no word as to how many people lived in the house at that time, but it is reported there were not any injuries.
One of the cats could be saved. It is assumed that the other two cats escaped on their own.
Residents will temporarily be displaced during the cleaning process and while an investigation is being conducted.
It is not known what caused the fire.
